Position Guide

A position guide is important in football because it helps players know where to move, who to mark, and how to support their teammates during the game.

Attacker

The player whose main job is to try to score goals and help the team win by getting past defenders and shooting the ball into the net.

Midfielder

The player whose main job is to help the team control the game, pass the ball, and support both attackers and defenders.

Defender

The player whose main job is to stop the other team from scoring by blocking, tackling, and protecting their goal.

Goalkeeper

The player whose main job is to stay near the goal and try to stop the ball from going into the net.

On Field Rules

Football is played fairly by following rules on offside, fouls, handballs, valid goals, and penalties, keeping the game exciting, safe, and fun for everyone.

Offsides

When a player is too close to the opponent’s goal before the ball gets to them. They have to wait behind defenders until the ball is played.

Timewasting

When a player takes too long to do something, like kicking the ball out slowly or pretending to be hurt, to make the other team run out of time.

Harsh Tackles

When a player goes too hard on an opponent to take the ball, which can be dangerous and unfair.
